JOB SCOPE:

The incumbent will be responsible for daily purchasing activities necessary for the Company either direct and indirect materials/equipment, peripherals etc.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Giving Recommendation to prepare local purchase order in comparison of Quotation, by verifying the user recommendation, to ensure the verifications is as per SCM procedure manual
  • Receiving clarifications from the requesting department and sending to suppliers, by collecting and checking the correct requirements of clarifications, to ensure the timely preparation of the documents as per the SCM procedures.
  • Arranging samples and catalogues for end users from Local Market to get better product on a competitive price, by forwarding their request, to ensure the requirements are delivered to the respective user departments on the right time, and as per the SCM procedures.
  • Purchaser will be responsible for all outside dealings with vendors, to negotiate prices and terms, to write purchase specifications,
  • Be part of the receiving process to ensure the company is obtaining the quality and quantity of merchandise ordered at the quoted prices for each receipt voucher.
  • Coordinate with financial manager to ensure positive cash flow
  • Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material.
  • Verifies nomenclature and specificatioms of purchase requests.
  • Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
  • Consult catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain and prices and specifications.
  • Writes or types purchase orders and sends copy to supplier and departments originating request.
  • Computes total cost of items purchase.
  • Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
  • Compares prices, specifications. and delivery dates and awards orders accordingly.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
